Beginner Levels

Ruby Starfish (Beginner #1)

 

At this level, your swimmer will be swimming assisted by an instructor, repeating the basics: kicks, pulls, & breathing.

​

  • Assisted float roll-over

  • Front & back kicks

  • Face in water

  • Assisted floats front & back 5 secs

Aquamarine Waves (Beginner #2)

​

At this level, your swimmer is starting to build more confidence in the water while swimming semi-unassisted by an instructor.
​

  • Face in bubbles

  • Semi-unassisted floats front & back

  • Surface survival 3 secs

  • Assisted front & back swiml, arms & kicks

Emerald Turtles (Advance Beginner #1)

​

At this level, the swimmer starts to become more independent in the water but they still need some assistance from an instructor.
​

  • Semi-unassisted float roll-over

  • Front & back kicks

  • Face in water

  • Unassisted floats front & back- 5 secs

Diamond Dolphins (Advanced Beginner #2)

​

At this level, the swimmer needs almost no assistance when completing their swim.

​

  • Front & back float 5 secs

  • Front & back swim 3m

  • Float roll-over

  • Introducing side-breathing

  • Assisted kneeling dives

 Levels 1 - 4

Level 1

 

At this level, the swimmers are starting to progress their stroke, while beginning to learn new technique to enhance their swimming abilities.​

  • Front & back swim  5m

  • Side-breathing 

  • Semi-assisted kneeling dives 

  • Treading 8-10 secs

Level 2​

​

At this level, the swimmers are starting to progress their stroke, while beginning to learn new technique to enhance their swimming abilities.​

​

  • Front & back swim 10m

  • Front crawl with side-breath

  • Back glide 

  • Unassisted kneeling dives 

  • Treading 15-20 secs

Level 3​

​

At this level, the swimmers
are starting to maintain endurance & technique.

​

  • 50m endurance swim 

  • Introduction to whip kick

  • Front & back 20m

  • Treading 30 secs

  • Kneeling dive & tread 15 seconds 

Level 4​

​

At this level, the swimmers
are starting to maintain endurance & technique.

​

  • 100m endurance swim  

  • Introduction to Breaststroke 

  • Front & back 50m

  • Treading 1 min

  • Kneeling dive & swim 25m

 Levels 5 - 9

Level 5​

​

At this level, the swimmer is comfortable with distance & learning in-depth technique.

​

  • 350m endurance swim 

  • Front & back 100m

  • Breaststroke 50m

  • Treading 2 mins

  • Dolphin kick 5m

  • Swim 50m and tread 1 min

Level 6​

​

At this level, the swimmer is comfortable with distance & learning in-depth technique.

​

  • 400m endurance swim

  • Front & back 150m

  • Breaststroke 100m

  • Treading 3 mins

  • Dolphin kick 10m

  • Swim 100m & tread 1 min

Level 7​

​

The swimmers can withhold distance and technique, looking at going into further environments of Aquatics (i.e competitive swimming, lifeguard).

​

  • 400m endurance swim

  • Front & back 200m

  • Breaststroke 150m

  • Treading 4 mins

  • Dolphin kick 25m

  • Introduce Butterfly 

  • Treading 4 mins

Level 8​

​

The swimmers can withhold distance and technique, looking at going into further environments of Aquatics (i.e competitive swimming, lifeguard).​

​

  • 450m endurance swim

  • Front & back 250m

  • Breaststroke 200m

  • Treading 5 mins

  • Dolphin kick 25m

  • 25m Butterfly 

Level 9​

​

The swimmers can withhold distance and technique, looking at going into further environments of Aquatics (i.e competitive swimming, lifeguard).​

​

  • 500m endurance swim

  • Front & back 300m

  • Breaststroke 200m

  • Treading 5 mins

  • 50m Butterfly
